What is BT Social?

BT Social is the community platform for beach tennis players across Australia. We connect players, track ratings, run tournaments, organise social games and build the community around the sport we love.

Whether you are a beginner picking up a racket for the first time or a competitive player chasing the top of the leaderboard, BT Social is your home base.

โšก How rating works (quick view)

Every player has a single BT Social Level on a scale of 1.0 to 7.0. Win matches and it goes up; lose and it dips. Beat stronger players and you gain more. Tournament results count more than social games. The full breakdown of bands, weights, promotion shield and inactivity decay lives on the Rankings page.

โ“ Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create a player profile?+
Tap Sign Up and create an account. Your player profile is created automatically. You can add a photo, club affiliation, and contact details from your profile page.
How does the rating system work?+
Every player has a BT Social Level from 1.0 to 7.0. You gain points for winning and lose points for losing. Beating stronger players earns you more. See the full explanation above under "How BT Social Level Works".
Can I play in a tournament without an account?+
Yes โ€” tournament organisers can add you as a player. Your results and rating will still be tracked. Creating an account lets you claim your profile, upload a photo, and see your dashboard.
How do I find a doubles partner?+
Go to Find Partner from the menu. You can post a request with your level, preferred location, and the tournament you are looking for a partner for.
What is a Ranked Match?+
A ranked match is a casual game between two teams that counts toward your BT Social Level. Go to Play โ†’ Ranked to arrange one. Both teams need to confirm the result.
How do social days work?+
Clubs post official social days under Play โ†’ Socials. No RSVP needed โ€” just show up at the time and location listed. Bring your racket and sunscreen.
How are tournament grades different?+
Grade 1 is the highest (premier events) and Grade 4 is the lowest (community events). Higher grade tournaments move your rating more. Social events have the smallest impact.
Can I organise my own tournament?+
Yes โ€” contact us at admin@btsocial.com.au and we can set you up as a tournament organiser. You will be able to create events, manage categories, enter scores, and run brackets.
What sports does BT Social support?+
Currently beach tennis only. We are working on expanding to beach volleyball and other beach sports in the future.
I found a bug or have a suggestion โ€” where do I report it?+
Email us at admin@btsocial.com.au. We actively develop the platform and welcome all feedback.
